Why shoot Telč?

Telč is a UNESCO Renaissance town in the Vysočina hills, about 150 kilometres southeast of Prague. The Náměstí Zachariáše z Hradce, a long triangular square lined with arcaded houses in painted and sgraffito facades, opens onto the château at the western end and the town pond on the south. The compactness of the historic core means a single golden hour gives you the square, the pond reflections, and the château courtyard from one walk.

On a Telč photo tour with me, you'll work the painted facades along the arcaded square at first light, catch the pond reflections from the embankment, and shoot the château courtyard sgraffito through the soft midday light. We walk inside the historic centre, with Uber for the transfer from Prague (~1.5 hours each way), so you'll never have to rush. Beginners leave with a sharper eye and confident use of aperture priority. Pros leave with compositions they wouldn't have found alone.

What you'll photograph

The frames you'll typically take home include the long arcaded square at golden hour, the painted Renaissance facades reflected in the town pond at first light, the château courtyard with its sgraffito walls, and the rooftops of the historic core picking up colour after a summer storm. We adapt the route to the season and the subjects you like to shoot.
