Why shoot Berlin?

Berlin is built on contrasts that show up directly in the frame. Prussian classicism (Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Museum Island) sits next to Cold-War concrete (East Side Gallery, Karl-Marx-Allee) and contemporary glass (Potsdamer Platz, the government quarter). The Spree river threads through the center, opening up wide architectural panoramas you don't get in tighter old-town cities like Prague or Vienna.

On a Berlin photo tour with me, you'll catch Brandenburg Gate at blue hour, work the Reichstag and Museum Island ensemble through twilight, and find the Hackesche Höfe courtyards and East Side Gallery sections that don't appear on the standard guidebook routes. We mostly walk between locations, with Uber rides for any longer transfers, so you'll never have to rush. Beginners leave with a sharper eye and confident use of aperture priority. Pros leave with compositions they wouldn't have found alone.

What you'll photograph

The frames you'll typically take home include Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag at blue hour, Museum Island from Lustgarten, the Holocaust Memorial geometry, the East Side Gallery sections in the right light, and the modern glass-and-steel skyline at Potsdamer Platz. We adapt the route to the weather and the subjects you like to shoot.
