Why shoot Dresden?
Dresden's old town is a tight cluster of Saxon baroque set against the Elbe river. Zwinger, Frauenkirche, Semperoper, and Brühl's Terrace are within a five-minute walk of each other, and the river itself opens up panoramic compositions you don't get in Prague or Vienna. The reconstructed sandstone glows warm at sunrise and sunset, and the river surface adds a second light source on calm evenings.
On a Dresden photo tour with me, you'll catch the baroque skyline from Brühl's Terrace at golden hour, work Frauenkirche from Neumarkt before the crowds, and cross to the Neustadt side for the wide riverbank panorama most visitors miss. We mostly walk between locations, with Uber rides for any longer transfers, so you'll never have to rush. Beginners leave with a sharper eye and confident use of aperture priority. Pros leave with compositions they wouldn't have found alone.
What you'll photograph
The frames you'll typically take home include the baroque skyline from across the Elbe at blue hour, Frauenkirche dome from Neumarkt, Zwinger's symmetrical courtyards, Semperoper at twilight, and the river panoramas at sunrise. We adapt the route to the weather and the subjects you like to shoot.
