Why shoot Hallstatt & Gosausee?

Hallstatt is a thin strip of pastel Austrian timber houses pinned between the Hallstätter See and the Dachstein massif. The lake mirrors the mountains in still weather, and the village's church steeple sits at the visual center of every classic frame. Add nearby Gosausee, where the Dachstein glaciers reflect in a glacial lake on calm mornings, and you have two of the strongest landscape compositions in the Austrian Alps within a short drive.

On a Hallstatt photo tour with me, you'll shoot the classic viewpoint above the village before the day-trip buses arrive, work the lakeside and the market square through the evening blue hour, and drive out to Gosausee for sunrise on still water. We walk inside the village and drive for the longer transfers between viewpoints, so you'll never have to rush. Beginners leave with a sharper eye and confident use of aperture priority. Pros leave with compositions they wouldn't have found alone.
